Welcome to Kokunkokun, a graphic site and personal blog run by Kate. Like similar sites, Kokunkokun offers its visitors the typical graphics expected today, such as 100x100 avatars, wallpapers, and various layouts. Unlike many similar sites, Kate welcomes requests and submissions. In other words, this site is for YOU! Tell me what you'd like to see and I'll do it. This includes requesting specific graphics for you or your site, like avatars or layouts. Kokunkokun has been tested in Internet Explorer, Opera, and Firefox, at resolutions of 800x600+.
Version 11: One Hell of an Anniversary
What better way to celebrate Kokunkokun's first year than with a dark and creepy layout? After all, it did open on Halloween! The image is one I exctracted myself and then edited slightly, since there were a few instances of inappropriateness and I'm sure there are children who visit this site. And while my language has probably been enough to scar them for life on several occasions, I'm trying to do as little damage as possible.
This div layout features a character from Bakuretsu Tenshi. The original image can be found at the Aethereality Gallery. I used brushes from Aethereality, AnimeShare, and Anime Rain. The font, Burton's Nightmare, can be found at Dafont.com.

So far I have two contestants in the SOTM. Hurray! I also have one crit to work on as soon as I can. Additionally I've decided to see how much spam I get in one month on my Gmail account. So far I'm up to 21 messages, crazy. I'm going to bed soon, though, so I'm going to wrap this up. Don't forget to join the SOTM and the contest, and plug your site on the new plugboard! Also, hurray to Ai of Deadly Nightshade for noticing that it was the donated layouts that are gone from the navigation. Yes, they are gone and probably won't be coming back. More Changes?!
[Edit] Ahh, thank you all for your votes in the Solaris Designs SOTM, but I was no match for Kuroyuki Networks, apparently. Oh well. Maybe I'll join again for next month. But you should join my SOTM, and my new contest!
Yes indeed. For starters, look at the navigation and tell me what's missing. First one to figure it out gets a prize. Seriously. Either comment or send me and email and I'll send you a personalized award for paying attention to Kokun like a faithful friend. There could be other rewards as well, hehe. Second, I've updated the links page. I put up the buttons I won from Ai in DN's SOTM. Also, on my profile you'll see the avatars she made for me. She also made me a wallpaper, it's very cool. You can find it on her site; it's the Witch Hunter Robin wall. The other changes I've made are ones you won't notice: I've moved all of the link buttons, screenshots of past layouts, and my avatars to my Photobucket account to keep freeing up space with Nora. Mostly this is so I'll be able to maximize what will be hosted on my faded-chimera.net account. Nora, I love you!
So I'm still trying to talk myself into coding the Bakuretsu Tenshi layout. It's dumb, but I'm stuck because I can't think of a good title that really works with the image...I was planning to call it "Bent" because of the song lyrics I used, but since the image doesn't reflect that idea, I don't really want to use it. Oh well. I'll figure something else out shortly and have it up, I promise.
I'm making plans for a couple of new wallpapers as well, for Halloween. I really don't want to do my homework, haha. But after I made the specifications for my prizes from Ai, I started thinking and decided I wanted to make something a little creepier for Halloween [because the wallpaper that will be making a Halloween debut is too cute for the holiday, haha]. So the new wallpapers will hopefully feature some of my favorite manga, which are a tad on the creepy side. Actually Ai said one of them gave her nightmares, so I'm planning to use it. Gomen, Ai-chan, but I think a couple other people might like it, haha.
Okay, but seriously it's time for a little homework. A very little bit of homework, I think, haha.
